Since 2000, the scheme has supported hundreds of groups in this way.The maximum grant is €5,000 and the deadline is 29 October 2010.For the purpose of this programme the Foundation allocates grants to groups working in specific areas. These are:· Carers· Ethnic Minorities· Families at Risk· Mental Health· Older PeopleThe Community Foundation for Ireland is an independent grantmaking organisation.
