A group of students are being given the chance to launch their careers atmajor professional services firms this Friday, as part of an industry-firstcareers event aimed at ethnic minorities. ‘Big 4 Chances – ethnic minorities into professional services’ will let 100students to gain an insight into careers at Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMGand PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The students will spend the morning at Ernst & Young, where they will hearfrom the four firms about jobs in the sector and will be able to talk to recentgraduates about their experiences. The day ends with a reception hosted by PwC, where the students will be ableto network with senior industry figures. Mark Blythe of event organiser, graduate careers publisher GTI, said:”Professional services firms have recognised that they need to build morediverse workforces to retain their competitive edge.” “The Chances programmes enable top organisations to reach out to thebest ethnic minority graduates,” he added.
